The Moravecs’ everyday assistance
January–June 1942
Lodging was only one part of helping. The Moravecs connected parachutists with others, obtained food and maintained contacts.
Marie Moravcová acted as courier, host and organizer of supplies. Alois sought more helpers among railway workers. Their son Vlastimil maintained contacts and assisted preparations. The Moravec apartment connected Kubiš, Gabčík, Opálka, Valčík and other resistance members.
Food and messages remained essential after the men moved to the Resslova Street church. Marie carried supplies to chaplain Vladimír Petřek. The Moravecs thus helped across several stages: first within the Prague support network, then by maintaining contact with wanted men in hiding.

The network also needed documents, equipment transport and emergency help for injuries. These roles connect the Piskáček family’s story.
